Release Notes

v0.1.25

2026-09-30

SoLo Support v0.1.25 brings the changes made after the September 22 release into one versioned release. Some changes were previously published in build #195 under version 0.1.24.

New Features

  • Linux Host Agent supports locally approved screen sharing and remote input on compatible Plasma, GNOME and COSMIC Wayland desktops; Xorg support remains available (#148).
  • Wayland sessions use the desktop portal for monitor selection, permission prompts, clipboard transfer and session cleanup; screen-only portals do not claim remote input support (#148).
  • Linux Debian installers include the portal, PipeWire and Python runtime dependencies and restore older installer-forced Xorg settings (#148).
  • Desktop technician apps support in-app updates, avoiding a separate manual installer workflow (#138).
  • Administrators can end open device sessions from the technician console (#142).

Fixes and Improvements

  • macOS Host Agent installation supports user-approved installation on Intel Macs and trusted universal builds for Intel and Apple silicon (#145, #146).
  • Unix Host Agent enrollment keeps device credentials private (#147).
  • macOS artifact transfers retry bounded chunks, verify the complete restored file and test the selected release channel before compilation (#149, #150).
  • Native publication uses the AWS SDK, bounded upload backpressure and improved transport recovery; verified artifacts can be published without recompiling (#137, #139, #140, #141).
  • Jenkins enables all release platforms and publishing on main, prepares Android signing context on fresh builds, resolves the Android Java path and targets the MacBook macOS builder (#135, #136, #143, #144).
  • macOS DMG builds use CI mode and the downloads page provides installation security guidance (#134).
  • Release versions are synchronized across desktop technician apps, Host Agents, Quick Support, Installer Helper and Android/iOS source metadata; release notes and repository history are reconciled through 0.1.25.

Linux Desktop Permissions

Wayland sharing requires approval in the local desktop portal. Unattended sharing before login is unavailable on Wayland. Desktop and portal versions determine the available capabilities; GNOME and COSMIC installed-device acceptance remains pending.
